Description
Sheldan Scarzella is a stay at home mother to 3 year old Katerina and wife to Ryan Scarzella. Even though she struggled with mental health and consistent bullying throughout grade school she was still able to graduate 2 years early from Mt. Hebron High School at age 15. She then pursued an AA in general studies at Howard Community College and chose Hood College for her undergraduate degree. She graduated with a 3.8 GPA and achieved dean’s list standing with a BA in psychology; she is still part of the Psi Chi honor society today. She got accepted into every doctoral psychology program she applied to in the DMV area but ultimately chose to attend George Washington University’s PsyD program in Wahington, DC. She was there for a year but ultimately had to leave due to high-risk pregnancy. She has been home with her daughter ever since. She is an Advocate for black representation in all things. Whether that be black excellence, black mental health struggles, black representation in pageantry, Black LGBTQ+ rights or black civil rights. She has strong opinions but believes disenfranchised groups best benefit from loud voices. She is unapologetically strong minded and strong willed.
