Athena Gorder was born and raised in Billings, Montana where she meet her amazing husband Don, raised her two successful children, Arielle and Payne and where her 6 month old granddaughter, Charlize was born!
Athena is the owner of Cosmetic Ink Artistry, LLC. Her business has been centered around donating her talents as a licensed permanent makeup artist by assisting women who have experienced hair loss due to chemotherapy. She provides free services to help restore their appearances prior to cancer treatments. Being a breast cancer survivor herself, she understands first hand what it is like to feel the loss of one’s personal identity caused by hair loss.
Athena strives to help raise awareness for early detection of breast cancer and helping to find a cure. She has written and publicly spoken about her breast cancer journey so others can understand, learn, remind them they are not alone and to inspire and support those struggling to find their new life after cancer. Her experience has enhanced her passion to help others. She does this by volunteering within her community and for several non-profit organizations.
She is on the Event Leadership Team as a co-chair for Relay for Life, is a volunteer for the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association among others.
Her goal is to continue to inspire people, and for someone to say, because of you, I didn’t give up. She wants to share this love not only in her home state, but in the United States as a whole, serving as an inspiration for others.
