Description

Storm Dillenschneider, Mrs. Lee’s Summit, has been a Senior Executive for a Fortune 500 company for the last 12 years. Storm is married to her Rock, Lance Dillenschneider, and is the mother of 4 beautiful sons, William (39), Jason (forever 33), Zachary (31) and Hunter (30), She also is G-MA Storm to 4 GRANDS. She is always looking for a reason to host the next get-together because friends are incredibly important and a source of strength for all. Her hobbies also include boxing, weightlifting, running marathons, travel and the beach.

Storm enjoys hiking with her husband and 2 gorgeous dogs and snuggling with her 2 adorable cats, Mercy and Glory. The GRANDS love to spend time playing in the pool and racing golf cards through the trails on their 11-acre wooded estate. She enjoys the poolside fundraisers for their multiple charity functions.

The heartbreak of Storm’s life came in the Summer of 2021 when her much loved son, Jason passed away from a fentanyl overdose. It was during that tragedy that Storm believes God directed her priorities to be an advocate in her city, county and state. She works tirelessly seeking out ways to fight this evil and bring awareness to this epidemic. If she can spare another mother and family from this heart-breaking tragedy, then maybe she can bring meaning to her son’s death. As an elected official for her county, she uses her resources and platform to educate and find solutions to save our children from this evil. Presently, Storm and her husband are working with their state legislators to introduce a fentanyl bill to enact harsher laws against drug dealers. This law will be called, “Jason’s Law”.

Victoria’s Voice foundation was an inspiration of hope. Storm is hoping to be more involved with this organization because of their “Victory Clubs of America”. I believe working with influencers to educate, train and empower our youth to stay drug free is the key to making a difference.

Storm is in direct contact with the Jackson County Drug Task Force in recognizing the danger that these officers put themselves in daily taking these drugs off the streets. Grateful is not a strong enough word for how she feels about them. She is continually learning how to combat this crisis and be an advocate for early drug prevention education.

Storm is also involved in Rehope (formerly known as Restoration House) to end human trafficking. This organization provides housing, trauma therapy, and reintegration services for survivors. In December 2022, she partnered with an organization and sponsored training for the Kansas City Police Department, to identify the victims of human trafficking. An officer used this training and was able to identify, respond accordingly, and rescue 4 young girls from a sex trafficker.

As a lifelong learner she is dedicated to making the most of every opportunity to benefit Lee’s Summit, Jackson County and our Great state of Missouri. She will always continue to passionately advocate for educating and protecting our children.

“For have I not commanded you, Be strong and Courageous. Do not fear; and Do not be discouraged for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
